The Westin Maldives Miriandhoo Resort has announced the appointment of Nithil Baskar as its new Resort Manager. Bringing over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Baskar began his career in 2010 at The Oberoi Amar Villas and has since held a series of key leadership roles with prestigious hospitality brands across India and Dubai.
With a strong foundation in food and beverage operations, Baskar most recently served as Director of Operations at JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar, where he broadened his expertise to encompass full-spectrum hotel management. His approach to hospitality is driven by a deep-seated passion for creating meaningful and memorable guest experiences, inspired by a desire to make a positive impact—one stay at a time.
In addition to his professional achievements, Baskar is a strong advocate for holistic well-being. A fitness and running enthusiast, he believes in achieving balance between mind, body, and spirit—values that align seamlessly with Westin’s wellness-centric philosophy.
